At Sense we have always strived to look at the present in order to understand the world we’ll be living in tomorrow. It is your contributions that have made this possible. The time is now coming when, at last, we can use the web as a platform to reach out even further and the offer the type of service we have always wanted – a service that gets you, the Sensers involved and immersed in every aspect of the creative work we do.

This blog has been created to record and discuss our ideas on the development of our new website. With it, we want to garner your opinions on the topics discussed. You can tell us what you think in a few ways.

Below are our main aims and principals:

With you, we want to understand the world - This is our main goal. The world’s big and there’s a lot of ‘stuff’ out there. With your help we can filter that stuff down to what’s actually relevant. Then we can all share it.

Myspace for creatives - Ok, so it sounds like we’re jumping on the bandwagon a bit, but it helps to have a reference! Unlike Myspace, we’re not looking to please everyone and anyone, just those with a creative flair.

Anyone can comment - If you have an opinion you should join the debate. We are looking for interesting comments and opinions from either side of the fence.

Start a debate - We want you to comment, but we also want you to start a debate! If you have an idea, opinion or piece of work, or if something is just irritating you, we want you to get it off your chest – There will be plenty of like minded people and a few that are bound to disagree

It’s free - All we ask is that you respect others.

It’s your stuff – Your work is your work! If you want to remove it no one is going to stop you

If you help us earn money you deserve a share of it – We have projects coming in all the time, which require your help. We hope to have even more when people realise how good our network is!

It’s your site, you tell us what you need – senseworldwide.com is designed to grow and adapt to the wants and needs of the network it supports. We can’t cater to every whim (yet) but you’re a bunch of bright people. It would be plain stupid to ignore your ideas, so tell us!

Openness - Sense Worldwide is a site for people with a creative interest and something to say. If this sounds like you then you will thrive. If you’re looking for something else, someone else has probably done a better job at catering to your needs than us!

Another network! – If you’re going to keep coming back to us, then you need a reason. We will constantly endeavour to help you find the right people in the network - be it for working, collaborating or just bouncing ideas.

Longtail – Every idea and subject has merit and interest. We want you to help us create as broad a range of subjects, based on a creative standpoint, as you can. By doing this there will be a little something on the site for everyone’s wants and needs.

A service that’s right for you - When you join, the service will be simple. As you keep on using our service it will tailor itself to your needs and level or use.

Worldwide – It’s in the title, but in case you hadn’t figured it out we are interested in people from all over the world!

Jargon isn’t helpful – Everyone and every job has their own jargon, but the web can sometimes take it a bit too far! We don’t want you to waste your time trying to work out one term from another when you could be getting on with something interesting. We will try and make every aspect of the language used in the site as clear as possible – if we are getting something wrong, just tell us how we could improve it.

Raise your profile – Networks don’t work if there’s nothing in it for you. We want you to do well and get noticed by the people who interest you. The genius thing is they will want to get to know you as well!

Collaborative projects – Sometimes you can get a lot more done a lot more quickly if you club together. If you help us on one of our collaborative projects you can be assured that it’ll be seen by thousands of other clued up creative people like yourself.
